To celebrate the ninth international Open Data Day, we'll be celebrating in Wellington with a one-day, free hackathon. A chance for us to get together and prototype innovative products and services, using open data.
Read more about this year's event, and find the collaborative notes document, at https://data.govt.nz/open-data/open-government-data-programme/open-data-day/.
All you need to bring is your own devices and your ideas! We'll provide space, food and Wi-Fi.
Last held in Wellington in 2017, the event was a great success. You can read more at:
** What's Open Data Day? **
Open Data Day is a global celebration of open data. Groups around the world come together on the day to take part in local events where they use open data in and for their communities, to solve local challenges, explore exciting opportunities and more.
** Who is it for? Everyone! **
Members of the community, public servants, designers, developers, statisticians, young, old and inbetween.
And everything created is for anyone to use and re-use.
** Attendee guidelines **
We want to make sure our events are a safe, inclusive and diverse space.
Please read NetHui's guidelines to see what we expect from all attendees: https://2018.nethui.nz/NetHui-code-of-conduct/.
If you encounter any problems during one of our events, please contact an event organiser.
